Jesus said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Clearly it is the Lord's will that His people live in not just peace, but in His peace that only comes from Him, in spite of the circumstances of this life.
In John 16:33 (AMPC), Jesus also said, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]"
Lets learn to live in His peace so we are not living in distress and frustration, but confident of Who He is and His love and care for us.

**Please Note: There is some static on the audio for the first 7.5 minutes of this recording but it gets corrected and the audio is good after that point.
Ephesians 5:15-16 AMPC says, "Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),  (16)  Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil."
It is the will of God for us to know the times and seasons of what God is doing in the earth and in our own lives. While we may not know every detail, He will give us enough revelation so we are not caught of guard and can make the most of every opportunity He brings into our lives. In this series of lessons from our Wednesday Evening ZOOM Bible Study, we will learn how to follow the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit and what He desires to do in our lives.

1 Corinthians 13 tells us exactly what God's love looks like and how it behaves. While this may seem like very high standards, the good news is that verse 8 tells us that, "Love Never Fails...". If we will obey and model our "love walk" after God's Word, we will always see the results God desires.
Just in case you were wondering, Romans 5:5 (BBE) says, "And hope does not put to shame; because our hearts are full of the love of God through the Holy Spirit which is given to us." God already put into our hearts the love of God needed to love other people. You already have what it takes to love people the way God does!

Hebrews 8:6-7 says, "But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises."
Jesus has made the way for us to be in a Better Covenant with God than what was available in the Old Covenant. Think of this in light of a new and improved model of car that comes out. The manufacturer is not saying the old was bad and we are doing away with it; they are saying the redesign is better. The Old Testament (Covenant) is not bad, and the New Testament is good. The Old Testament was good, and the New Testament is better.
The two do not fight with each other. They complement and complete each other. The Old Covenant was not done away with; it was fulfilled in the Lord Jesus.
In this series of lessons from our Wednesday Evening ZOOM Bible Study, we are studying what a covenant is and what it means to be in a better covenant with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
