In this series, we are dealing with the subject of spiritual warfare and bringing correct, biblical teaching to this often-misunderstood subject. We do have an adversary that is bent on our destruction but we must always remember that the real battle with Satan was won at the Cross and the resurrection by Jesus Christ. This same victorious Christ who single handedly defeated the devil lives in us in the person of the Holy Spirit!
We must approach spiritual warfare from a place of already obtained victory (by Jesus) instead of us trying to get the victory!

In Matthew 16:13-18, Jesus said to the degree that you have a clear revelation of Who God is, your life will be built in God and the gates of hell will not prevail against you.
The subject of human suffering is probably one of the greatest stumbling blocks or obstacles to a clear revelation of God. The issues of human suffering do more to shape the theological perspective of God that most people have of Him.
Christians are also faced with some of these same questions: who is behind the suffering, is it my sin, the devil or is it God? The unbeliever looks at these things and says there is no God, and the believer looks and says, “why?” and “how do I properly relate to and handle these things?”
In this series, we will take a look at the Book of Job because it is the most concentrated case in the Bible on human suffering. James 5:10-11 tell us to be inspired by Job’s patience, perseverance, and endurance, and the mercy and grace of the Lord that brought great deliverance. If you find yourself in a time of suffering, just know that if you will remain consistent and persevere, God will bring you out with a great deliverance just like He did Job.
In this message, we look at Paul's Thorn in the Flesh and see what the Bible says it is and what God told Paul was the way to respond to it.

1 Corinthians 12:1 in the Bible in Basic English Translation says, "But about the things of the Spirit, my brothers, it is not right for you to be without teaching."
God desires to use every believer in a mighty way through the power of the Holy Spirit and simply put, you cannot flow in something you don't know. To that end, we endeavor to take time every year to teach on the ministry of the Holy Spirit in and through the life of the believer.

We need to regularly go back and make sure that we refresh ourselves on truths from God's Word that "we have heard" so that we don't slowly and unknowingly "drift off course."
In Part 9 of this series, we look at what the God-kind of love does and how it behaves because this is the standard we are to follow.
